MOLLY & BEN
Colorful Jewish Wedding at The Simon | Louisville, Colorado
Sometimes the most meaningful connections in life start in unexpected places. I first met Mollie not as a bride, but as my physical therapist, and those weekly sessions with Ty by my side grew into a friendship we'll treasure forever. What began in her office - filled with laughter, learning, and genuine connection - blossomed into something truly special.
So when we found ourselves photographing her September wedding to Ben at The Simon, it felt like the most beautiful full-circle moment imaginable. The morning started at Mollie's family home, where her golden retrievers provided the perfect furry entourage as she prepared for the day ahead. There's something extra special about documenting these intimate getting-ready moments when you know firsthand how caring and genuine the bride truly is.
The first look at Davidson Mesa captured everything we love about these two - their laid-back nature, their genuine connection, and the way they can make any moment feel light and joy-filled. Ben's face when he first saw Mollie is something we'll never forget - pure love and happiness radiating from every smile.
Their Jewish ceremony beautifully balanced tradition with their relaxed vibe. The ketubah signing brought their closest family together for an intimate moment that felt both sacred and sweetly personal. Under Colorado's autumn sky, they exchanged vows, shared knowing looks (and happy tears), and the sound of breaking glass was followed by the most jubilant "Mazel tov!"
The reception space perfectly reflected their personalities - a stunning installation of disco balls and lush florals created an atmosphere that was equal parts elegant and fun, just like Mollie and Ben. As her former patients-turned-friends-turned-photographers, watching Mollie let loose during the hora dancing was a particularly special moment - this woman who had helped me find strength was now celebrating with such pure joy.
Every wedding we photograph tells a unique love story, but Mollie and Ben's hits particularly close to our hearts. From our first meeting in her office to the last dance of their wedding night, we've had the privilege of witnessing Mollie's gift for making people feel seen, supported, and celebrated. Watching her receive that same love and celebration from Ben and their community was pure magic.
To Mollie and Ben - thank you for trusting us to capture your love story after letting me share mine. Your wedding day was, like you both, filled with warmth, authenticity, and so much joy. Here's to a lifetime of laughter, love, and maybe a few more dance floor moments as epic as that hora!
